Three tier 50th Birthday Celebration Cake at The English Wine Centre, Alfriston, East Sussex. Cake designed and created in a West End, theatre and show style with sugar red carpet, sugar gold ropes and set on glitter boards, with a sugar gold “50” Star, sugar swags and gold balls, piped tassels and piped running beads to the base of each tier. Finished with Venetian Mask and feathers provided by the client. Base tier of Vanilla Sponge with Madagascan Vanilla Bean paste whipped buttercream and Raspberry Conserve, Tier One of Belgian Couverture Chocolate sponge with whipped Belgian Couverture Chocolate Ganache and top tier of moist fresh Lemon zest sponge with whipped Lemoncurd buttercream. Iced in white. Cake serves approx. 200 finger portions.
