Two tiered wedding cake at Horsted Place Country House Hotel, Horsted, Uckfield, East Sussex. Wedding cake iced in pale ivory, with a soft edged finish. Cake separated between tiers and filled with fresh flowers provided by Nichola Massingale. Hand piped, matt white trails of leafwork trailing down from the top of each tier, asymmetrical and “loose”. Base tier of moist rich fruit cake, top tier of fresh lemon zest sponge with whipped lemoncurd buttercream filling. Cake provides 70 finger portions.
