Four tier Wedding Cake at Deans Place Hotel, Alfriston, East Sussex.  All four tiers iced in very pale soft mint, decorated with a loosely designed encircling cascade of  hand made sugar full bloom roses and hydrangea in soft ivories, pale pinks and pale peach colour ways, highlighted with sugar pale green foliage and two white sugar love birds.  Finished with hand piped beaded scroll work and beading to each tier base.  All tiers finished with a sharp edge.  Base tier of fresh Madagascan vanilla bean sponge with whipped Madagascan vanilla bean paste buttercream and Raspberry Conserve.  Tier one of fresh lemon zest sponge with whipped lemoncurd buttercream.  Tier two of fresh moist carrot cake with whipped fresh orange zest and orange oil buttercream.  Tier three of moist rich fruit cake.   Cake serves 150 finger portions.  With thanks to Rich Page – Page Creations for both images shown below.
