Four tier wedding cake at Laughton, Nr Lewes, East Sussex.  Each tier iced and finished in pale silver lustre, with hand piped matt white lace effect fine piped work.  Top tier finished with a ball of delicate sugar hydrangea, with silver leaf embellishments and intermittent crystal studs.  Base tier of vanilla sponge with Madagascan Vanilla Bean paste whipped buttercream and Raspberry conserve, tier one of fresh lemon zest sponge with whipped lemoncurd buttercream, tier 2 of moist rich fruit cake and tier three of moist chocolate sponge with Belgian Couverture chocolate whipped ganache filling.  Cake serves 250 finger portions.  Photography by Lucy Carnaghan Photography
