Three tier wedding cake at The Cooden Beach Hotel, Cooden, East Sussex.  All tiers iced in pale sky blue.  Decorated with hand painted swallows  and finished with rafia and burlap ribbon entwined and wrapped around the base of each tier – to depict the swallow swooping over fields of hay and straw in late Summer.  Both base and top tiers of rich moist fruit cake, central tier of vanilla sponge with whipped Madagascan Vanilla Bean Paste buttercream and raspberry conserve.  Cake serves 120 finger portions.  Images by FitzGerald Photographic
