We’re so happy that we found Liz and Sylvia’s Kitchen. Having seen several wedding cake designers across London and the South East we had a fair idea of what we could expect but Liz rewrote that. She is thoroughly warm and lovely, and deeply professional – we had total trust in her which is so important when project managing a wedding. Liz really listened to us, gave great ideas and discussed our design and flavours to ultimately develop an exquisite design. I put a copy of the sketch up on my mirror I was so excited! On the day our cake was devastatingly glorious. With fine piping and a luminous eau de nil base colour, particular mention must go to the symphony in delicate sugar flowers (thistles, hops, roses, lisianthus, berries – hardly straightforward!) which had people gasping in delighted realisation upon getting close enough – very close indeed – to see they weren’t fresh flowers. We are perfectionists and foodies and really cared about the cake, hoping for a centrepiece, a strikingly elegant but personal design with perfect execution and this is what Liz delivered – and our guests loved it before they’d even had one taste of the scrumptiously decadent cake itself! We cannot thank you enough, Liz – you gave us perfection with added joy!
